The Longest Lane We Run

Denver sits 830 miles from our yard on Broadway Rd: I-40 east to Albuquerque, then I-25 north through Santa Fe and over Raton Pass, roughly twelve and a half hours across two driving days.

Detail Mesa to Denver
Corridor I-40 east to Albuquerque, then I-25 north over Raton Pass
Pace Two driving days, more if a pass closes for weather
Crew One driver, one loading team, Mesa curb to Denver door

Much of this traffic is the same snowbird pattern that fills our Albuquerque lane, just further: Colorado winters push people to Arizona every October, most heading back north in April or May once the passes clear. Derek Osborn handles nearly all of these runs himself and knows how a loaded truck handles Raton Pass in a spring snow squall.

  • Nothing on this lane involves a second company — the same crew that loads in Mesa unloads in Denver, no relay driver, no regional carrier
  • Older bungalows near Washington Park often load through a detached garage or narrow alley, which changes the truck sent, not the price
  • Downtown lofts need a certificate of insurance and a freight-elevator window booked ahead of delivery

March, not January, is the riskier month

The Front Range often takes its heaviest snow in March, so a late-winter date gets the same schedule buffer as a December one.

The other lanes we run on a standing schedule: Las Vegas, San Diego and Albuquerque.

Before You Book This Route

How long does a move from Mesa to Denver take?

About 830 miles, I-40 east to Albuquerque and then I-25 north over Raton Pass, roughly twelve and a half hours of driving. Summer dates are the most predictable; from late fall into spring the passes can add a day, so the delivery window we quote has room built into it.

What happens if Raton Pass closes while my things are on the truck?

The truck waits somewhere safe and Derek Osborn calls you the same day with a revised arrival. Nothing gets offloaded into an unfamiliar warehouse to protect a schedule, and the flat rate doesn't move because Colorado had weather.

Is Denver really that busy for a company based in Mesa?

For us, yes — it's one of our two busiest long-haul lanes because of how much snowbird traffic runs between Arizona and Colorado every fall and spring. Derek Osborn runs most of these loads and keeps a rough sense of both seasonal waves so a booking doesn't run into a full schedule.

Our move took under four hours and nothing was damaged — the crew wrapped every piece of furniture without being asked. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Showed up on time despite the heat, worked straight through, and the quote didn’t change once they saw the house. That’s rare these days.

Two guys handled my whole apartment by themselves and were careful with my piano. Genuinely impressed with how organized they were.

Booked them for a long-distance move to Denver and everything arrived exactly as packed. Communication the whole drive was a nice touch.

Called last minute for a same-week move and they still fit us in. Fair price, no surprise fees at the end.
